Following Creative Learning’s successful Schoool-2-School Initiatives in the past, we have launched a new School-2-School program to benefit a day care center in Bolivia. Specifically, this campaign will raise funds for the Casa de Paso Arco Iris in La Paz. La Casa benefits over 200 children who come every day while their parents are at work and they participate in reading/writing and school support programs, including computer skills. They also receive a meal.

Students in the U.S. will spearhead the fundraising effort this year, learning about Bolivia in class and holding several school and community wide fundraisers.

As always, one hundred percent of the funds donated are used to procure school materials that aid children in learning in new and creative ways. Our partners, School Specialty and Paxton International will supply the goods and shipping at a discounted rate and the distribution of the goods will be performed by the generous, on-the-ground volunteers.

In addition to school supplies, students will exchange letters, photographs, art work, etc. The students in the U.S. are helping decide which supplies are sent to Bolivia. In past years, the School-2-School Initiative has provided supplies to schools in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Philippines’ Mindanao Region, Panama, and Uganda.

Did you know?

  • This is CL sixth School-2-School initiative: students in the U.S. have sent goods and exchanged letters to Afghanistan, Iraq, Philippines, Panama and Uganda.
  • S-2-S has directly benefited more than a thousand of students around the world
  • The most popular school supply, by both U.S. students and recipient students is…. PAINT!
  • In Bolivia, more than 4,000 children under the age of 14 live in the streets. Since 2002, La Casa provides them with a safe place to go while their parents are working.
