US preschoolers send toys to children in Mindanao Preschoolers at Primrose Schools, a US- based franchisor of early childhood education centers, reached out to their fellow students in the Philippines, specifically in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the Zamboanga Peninsula.
The preschoolers raised funds to purchase more than 300 classroom kits containing teaching tools and educational toys such as globes, rhythm instruments, balls, and puzzles. The kits arrived from the US in June, and were delivered to 229 schools in the ARMM and Zamboanga Peninsula during the month of July.
While fundraising to purchase the classroom kits, Primrose students also learned about the Philippines and they will continue to learn more after the kits are distributed. The children of Mindanao received much needed educational toys that are on par with what our children use here in the USA. And the young students here in the USA are able to learn about diversity, multiculturalism, and the similarities of life for children in the Philippines. No matter where they live, all children love to learn and play.
