Creative Learning acquires International Peace & Security Institute
Washington, DC—Creative Learning has acquired the International Peace & Security Institute (IPSI), resulting in a new division called IPSI at Creative Learning, the two non-profit organizations announced. (www.CreativeLearning.org)
IPSI at Creative Learning will focus on the complexity of today’s conflicts, working with a myriad of traditional and non-traditional peacebuilders to prevent and resolve violent conflict, as well as building resilient communities, says Creative Learning President Bill Kruvant.
“This is very exciting for Creative Learning, IPSI and the constituents they will now jointly serve,” says Kruvant. “It will greatly expand our activities in peacebuilding and expand our training activities, which are becoming a greater part of our portfolio.”
Founded in 2009, IPSI designs and implements results-driven professional development and advanced education, ranging from direct practical skills to higher level conceptual frameworks that equip leaders to be effective in fragile and conflict environments. (www.CreativeLearning.org/IPSI)
Cameron M. Chisholm, Founder of IPSI and now Executive Director for IPSI at Creative Learning, says: “IPSI at Creative Learning will pursue an even more ambitious agenda of training design, short courses, applied research and international education.”
