What does it take to educate a child orphaned by AIDS in Africa? Sometimes it is only a matter of a blue sweater. In Kenya, a blue sweater allows a child to go to school. Creative Learning has donated hundreds of blue sweaters that will allow children to go to school. The Kakamega Blue Sweater Campaign is brilliant in its simplicity. The Kakamega AIDS Orphanage and Care Center in Kakamega, Kenya houses 48 children orphaned by AIDS. The Care Center’s meals program feeds 100+ children one meal every day. The staff works on a volunteer basis and they contribute food they grow in their gardens to the Care Center.
